At the June 5, 2008 point in the video, there is an error. The President of Turkey is identified as Silvia Sommerlath. However, Silvia Sommerlath is actually the maiden name of the Queen of Sweden (who shows up later in the video).

I believe the President of Turkey both as of June 2008 and now is Abdullah Gul, although I don’t know him by face and can’t confirm that that is him in the particular photo.

@Joshua , You are absolutely right. I sent you an email and added a note to that part of the video.

WARNING: Don’t get any thoughts about making a video mocking me. I am YOUR U.S. Senator and I know where you live.

To CHRI$ DODD - You mean a mock video of yourself and http://www.FATBOY.cc assaulting a Waitress in D.C. about 20 years ago, is off-limits?

How about if we named a Sandwich after you and your buddy, at one of the campus eateries?

Great video. Keep up the good work and with college republican help we can make inroads for 2012!

Interesting you get upset with Pres. Obama and you gloss over the fact that G.W. was at the wailing wall with a yamaka on when the only thing on him that is Jewish is his small penis.

@Leo Mora And I’m glad a 4 minute video made you upset enough to make such an irrational comment as well.

    @admin: It’s not irrational. It’s racist/stereotypical.

@ rest of college duh-publicans: Don’t open your mouths. Please go place your lips firmly on the ass of the closest Middle Eastern monarch sitting on oil reserves like your precious previous President. It’s a better use of your time.

Ah, thanks for the correction. Sorry i consider racism irrational.

He isn’t the first or last head of state to bow. And it hasn’t only been Democrats. You are all so close minded.

You call THAT a bow? It looks like Nixon was leaning in a bit to hear what the other gentleman was saying. Obama has bowed to two different foreign leaders. It’s simply amateur hour for the Organizer. I’m sure Dave U. just thinks everyone else has gotten protocol wrong and that Obama is brave to show the symbolism that the EEEEEEVILLLL USA is ready to be subserviant to the rest of the world.

Barack Hussein Obama - Never before has one man with so few accomplishments thought so much of himself. Also: Proof that retards and felons can find ways to vote, while 50% of the country never gets around to it.

Thanks for using my music. :) Interesting video.

The name of the song title is Arista. Next time, please be sure to read the license, contact me and give attribution either on the Youtube page or in the video itself. Thanks!

Will do that right now! I was planning on putting it in the description anyways simply because I’ve been getting so many messages asking what the song was. Apparently people like it so thanks, Jaybot7.

So what if Obama bowed deep? The respect and the act of bowing mean a lot to the Japanese, nothing to the rest of the world. So, he humbles himself and endears himself to an ally, yet remains the most powerful leader on earth. Everyone is aware of his stature. Other leaders and dignitaries bow shallowly because to them, the symbolism is meaningful. Obama doesn’t have to worry about his relative power, it’s a given. So, he gives away nothing by being respectful. It’s the kind of humility Bush lacked. Humility that would serves well if we are to present the USA as a world leader, not a totalitarian nightmare. Which is what we were becoming under the timid, terrified, jingoistic, idiotic and deeply flawed Bush/Cheney regime.

This whole thing about Obama’s bowing is silly and a waste of time. If you’re unhappy with Obama, then put your time into discussing meaningful issues and presenting positions backed by well-researched fact…this, on the other hand, is garbage. I’m certain that if Bush had done this, you’d be applauding his cultural sensitivity. It’s telling that your clips are all from Fox news….come on guys, even the most right-wing conservative must, when totally honest, realize that it’s the most biased soapbox out there. You can do better if you have real qualms to discuss.

Obama’s gesture was one of graciousness born from a position of strength and also conforms to Japanese culture since he’s much younger than they. Strength as a nation can also be shown through allowing oneself to be humble and polite at times. Such strength shows a class that is apparently lost on many people.

    Thanks! I enjoyed the video.

I didn’t want to be a pain, I just like to keep on top of where my music is used. Thanks so much for your understanding :)

The correct name of the Queen of Sweden is not Silvia Sommerlath, just Silvia. Sommerlath was her maiden name before she married the King.

    November 18th, 2009 at 10:10 | #22

Thanks. Does she not have a last name or did she take Gustav after getting married? The following site, among others referred to her as “Queen Silvia Sommerlath,” which is why I included the last name, but I’m sure locals know better than any website. http://newshopper.sulekha.com/topic/slideshow/silvia-sommerlath/533954.htm

    Sorry for the error.

Oh come on you people can’t be that insecure about your penis. Stop panicking because you’re afraid someone might have a bigger one than yours. Really, it is quite pitiful to be in such desperate need of confirmation that your penis is larger than the one of the Japanese president. Do you hear how lame you are ?
I know my penis rocks, and I can bowe in front a junkyard homeless any time, big deal, whatever that is what being confident is.
You insecure hormonal dudes are just proving that your penis has a problem.

you just didn’t realize that he was in fact trying to identify the brand of the very nice , probably italian shoes that the emperor was wearing.

you’ll see that next time he won’t bow but he will have the same shoes as the old man

Sorry, wasn’t the 4 min video. MSNBC and Jon Stewart keeping an eye on you whackjobs. As someone who travels the world for business it’s a little important to know local customs. I’m sure you’d be appalled what the military sits down and instructs you the first time you deploy to a foreign base. I’m sure you’d think it was a left-wing, brainwashing session!
